Thank you for supporting Bloom Asia! Your help is essential and all funds go towards the work of providing education and employment for the young women who need it most.

Is my giving tax deductible?

Great news - yes it is. Donations in Australia and the United States are tax deductible. Simply donate using one of the methods described in get involved and request a receipt in one of the following ways:

Direct deposit: email finance@bloomasia.org with your name, address and the details of your deposit. When your donation is received, a receipt will be sent to you.

Cheque: send your cheque along with a note including your name and address, and a receipt will be sent to you.

Why does my receipt say ‘Global Development Group’?

Bloom Asia has partnered with Global Development Group (ABN 57 102 400 993) to register for tax deductibility under Project J657 Bloom Training Centre. GDG is an Australian DFAT approved Non Government Organisation carrying out quality humanitarian projects with approved partners and providing aid to relieve poverty and provide long term solutions.

Global Development Group takes responsibility of the project according to DFAT rules providing a governance role and assisting in the areas of planning, monitoring, evaluating and auditing to ensure the projects are carried out to DFAT requirements. Tax deductible receipts for gifts over $2 with a preference for this approved aid and development project will be issued by Global Development Group for project J657. If projects are overfunded, funds may be directed towards other approved project activities. Please note that no non-development (evangelistic, political or welfare) activities are funded by any of these projects. For more information please visit www.globaldevelopment.org.au.

Do you do sponsorships?

For privacy reasons, we're unable to provide the details of any of our program participants so we don't do sponsorships per se. However, if you're interested in sponsoring, you're welcome donate the equivalent costs for one participant for one year, which is approximately US$3,500 (or AUD$5,000).

What reference/description should I use when making a one-off donation online?

Simply use your name as the reference with ‘ donation’, eg. ‘ J. Smith donation’.
